Brown Derby

The Brown Derby is a masterclass in simplicity. Bourbon mixes with sweet honey and tart grapefruit to create a well balanced drink. This cocktail was likely invented around 1930 at the Vendôme Club on Sunset Boulevard. However, an identical recipe appeared under the name “De Rigueur Cocktail” in Harry Craddock’s famous 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book
